Located in Hendricks County, Indiana, Danville is a smaller town with a population of about 9,000 people. Danville serves as the county seat of Hendricks County and is served by the Danville Community School Corporation. The town was founded in 1824 and a post office was established the next year later. Danville was incorporated in 1835.

Although Danville is a smaller town, due to the city’s rich past and culture there are many things to see and do within Danville’s town limits. The Hendricks County Historical Museum is located in Danville and features many exhibits and artifacts that display Danville’s rich history. The museum is located in a building erected in 1866 that once served as the county jail. Another notable attraction in Danville is the Danville Athletic Club. The facility is home to a fitness center and hosts several community programs, tournaments, leagues, and much more. Danville is also home to the Blanton House, a 20-acre nature park, retreat, and conference center. Many individuals living in Danville and from around the state choose to host weddings and receptions at the beautiful Blanton House.
